Hailing from Atlanta, Ga, Carly Fanning has been playing and writing music since she was a child. Getting her musical start playing flute and piano in the school band, Carly moved onto choir during high school. Her first band, Kenotia, was signed to Sumerian Records in 2006 and released their debut album “You’ve Dug Your Grave, Now Lie In It” internationally in 2007. Four of their songs were featured on MTV’s The Hills and the band spent years on the road touring with names such as Pierce The Veil, In This Moment, Dance Gavin Dance and Kittie.
“Crossroads” marks the beginning of a long awaited solo career for Carly as she works on her first full length album ever.
In 2017 Carly and her good friend, tattoo artist Kate Irvine, launched the podcast “Keeping It Ethereal” on all platforms. It was then that Carly realized she loved speaking with an audience as much as loved singing to them. In the beginning of 2019 Carly launched a second podcast, “Beneath The Hat” focused on learning more about every day people’s stories. In her first season she covered such topics as domestic violence, Ayurvedic medicine and life as a musician. 2020 is set to be her biggest year yet.
